On 6 October at the Torreribera venue in Santa Coloma de Gramenet, the autumn menu was presented at an event attended by the chef of the restaurant Lluerna Víctor Quintillà together with Ada Colau and Núria Parlón, mayors of Barcelona and Santa Coloma de Gramenet, respectively. This culinary proposal was created within the framework of initiatives launched for Barcelona’s year as World Capital of Sustainable Food. This year the proposal has been developed by the hospitality and tourism schools CETT, Barcelona School of Tourism, Hospitality and Gastronomy, Eshob, Jesuïtes de Sarrià and ERESC.

This proposal positions the city’s restaurants as a key element in the promotion of sustainable and healthy food as a food education initiative. It also aims to boost the restaurant sector in Barcelona and support the sector following the difficulties it has experienced during the Covid-19 crisis.

The different dishes proposed for the autumn menu use seasonal produce as in the rest of the seasonal menus. It is a sustainable option as the products are seasonal and local. The menu features dishes such as: Red pine mushrooms with egg, pine nuts and dried tomatoes, pomegranate and mint flavoured water, fennel salad with cod and orange, creamy cauliflower rice, chestnut and caramel flan, beans with clams, sweet potato panellets, roast chicken and baked mackerel with potatoes and allioli.

On the website  you can find information about the dishes in recipe format so you can purchase the products and learn how to prepare and cook them. This initiative will conclude with the winter menu which will be the last one of the year.
