Marie Faye
Chair and one of the founding members of the Diomcoop cooperative.
She was born in Senegal where she went to school until she did her Baccalaureate. She afterwards emigrated to France to study law but the red tape there compelled her to abandon the country and move to Barcelona where, thanks to the cooperative, she was able to regularise her legal status and start her undergraduate degree in Business Administration and Management.
Diomcoop is social-initiative cooperative made up of people who previously worked as unauthorised street hawkers. The aim is to provide a sustainable and long-lasting solution to the social-inclusion and employment needs of migrants in vulnerable situations
