Berta Caballero López
Conservator-researcher for the Department of Arthropods at the Museu de Ciències Naturals de Barcelona
She has a PhD in Biology from the University of Barcelona, and a European Doctoral Distinction, where she specialised in highlighting the importance of the trophic networks of natural enemies and pollinators for the purposes of preserving functional stability in agricultural ecosystems.
She has been working at the Museu de Ciències Naturals de Barcelona since 2011, as the conservator of its arthropod collection, where she is continuing her research into the ecology of insects and combines that with the everyday management of a collection of 2 million individual insects and thousands of represented species.
