The third edition of the Collserola Agricultural Contract (CAC) more firmly establishes the economic support mechanism for professional agricultural projects in the Natural Park, and increases the amount of funding provided by the Consortium of the Serra de Collserola Natural Park to €90,000. This year, each beneficiary will be entitled to receive a grant of up to €6,000.

This represents an increase of €15,000 over the previous year, when a total of €75,000 was granted to 17 agricultural projects, for initiatives aimed at maintaining the agroforestry mosaic, supporting biodiversity, preventing fires, and more.

The initiatives eligible for subsidy are grouped into three categories, as in the previous edition: ecosystem services, socio-occupational impact and improvements to agricultural infrastructure.

Natural or legal persons engaged in professional agricultural activity in the area of the Natural Park may submit applications for funding through the Collserola Agricultural Contract until 3 May. They may also engage in work on agricultural plots in the 300-metre area bordering the Natural Park.

What is the Collserola Agricultural Contract?

The Collserola Agricultural Contract is a tool developed through participation between farmers, public administrations and academic stakeholders within the context of the Alimentem Collserola programme, part of the strategy for promoting the agroecological transition driven by the Collserola Natural Park Consortium.
